Overview

▼ What is CBSE Class 12 Exam?

The CBSE Class 12 Board Examination is a national-level school-leaving examination conducted annually by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), one of India's most prominent and widely recognised educational boards. Established under the Union Government of India, CBSE administers the Class 12 exam for students enrolled in CBSE-affiliated schools across the country and abroad, covering over 120 subjects across the Science, Commerce, and Humanities (Arts) streams.

The Class 12 board examination is widely regarded as one of the most significant academic milestones in a student's life. Performance in these examinations serves as a key criterion for admission to prestigious universities and professional colleges in India and overseas, including institutions offering engineering, medicine, law, management, and other undergraduate programmes. Many national-level entrance examinations such as JEE (Main & Advanced) and NEET also use Class 12 marks as an eligibility benchmark.
